HI....
Would somebody explain to me please the difference between the Transfer Method in the Infosource.
1. PSA
2. IDOC
What happens in full for each transfer method?
Kind regards.
IDOC is only there because of compatibility reasons. It supports a smaller structure and has no other advantages. You should always use PSA.
Best regards
Dirk

Hi,
PSA Transfer Method
Different options are available for data update when using the PSA transfer method.
1) PSA and Data Targets/InfoObjects in Parallel (By Package)
2) PSA and Then into Data Target/InfoObject (by Package)
3) Only PSA
4) Only Data Target/InfoObject
IDoc Transfer Method
The following options are available for data update when using the Idoc transfer method:
ALE inbound processing and data target/InfoObject
In this method, data is loaded in BW ALE inbound processing, and updated further into the data targets directly.
Only ALE inbound processing
In this method, data is loaded in BW ALE inbound processing, but not updated further. The request appears in the monitor as incorrect. You can manually update the data further from here into the data targets.
Hope this helps
