Is Material determination possible in consignments?

Hello,

Could someone please tell me if material determination is possible in consignments? If yes, then what would be item categories?

I tried creating new item categories similar to TAX and TAPS with no billing and pricing relevance for a fill up order, but this doesn't work. Also I tried to assign KBN as the item category for the KB LUMF PSHP and KB NORM PSEL KBN combinations, it still doesn't work. Can someone please tell me how this can be handled?

Hi Neeta,

Item Category KBN is working for me with standard CF order type.

Dont forget to Assign Material Determination Procedure To Sales Document Types (CF)

Thanks for the reply Amit. The issue is fixed now.

These were the config steps I did :

I created a new order type "ZKB " similar to KB and new item categories "ZHDR" and "ZKBN" similar to TAX and TAPS.

Item cat derivation was done for "ZKB NORM PSHP ZHDR" and "ZKB NORM PSEL ZHDR ZKBN".

Then I assigned sch line cat "CX" to "ZHDR" and new sch line cat "YE" to "ZKBN".

The new sch line cat was created for the movement type "631" and unchecking the "Item rel. for del" check box.

I then maintained the copy controls for ZKB->LF for the item categories "ZHDR and ZKBN".

These copy controls are similar to the TAX and TAPS in OR->LF.

Also, Del item category settings for "ZKBN" are set similar to Del Item cat "TAPS".

The material determination procedure has been assigned to the the sales doc type "ZKB".

Then records have been maintained in VB11.
