Hi

Lets say branch A pulls from branch B. When you run SNP heuristic @ material - branch B , the SNP engine will identify the source of supply as branch A and hence will create a distribution demand (planned) at branch A and distribution receipt (planned) at branch B. After this when you run deployment , the demand and receipts will become distribution demand (confirmed) and distribution receipt(confirmed) respectively.

Thanks

Hi Aparna,

Thanks, from your explanation can branch A be a DC or customer and branch B a plant...pls correct me if iam wrong..

That actually depends on your level of planning. If you are running planning at material - customer level , then yes branch A can be a customer that pulls from branch B. But it is very uncommon to run planning at material - customer level - atleast i have not worked on a scenario that requires planning at that level.

The answer to the other part of your question is yes branch A can also be a plant (or DC) that pulls stock from another plant

Thanks
