Performance Impact of Enhancement Package

Dear Experts,

We have applied EHP3 on our ECC 6.0 System. We have observed an increase in Average Dialog Response time by 100ms at least ! Is there some performance Impact of these EHPs as we have a documented impact of ECC6.0 upgrade.

In what area? database? dialog?

Hi Markus !

This is primarily DB Time which has increased.

And you did update statistis on the database? Re-checked the parameters?

Yes ! My query is generic only. I don't need a specific Solution to my problem.

I wanted to know whether there is some documented performance impact of applying Enahncement packages on the ECC System. Like we have a documented performance impact of ECC Upgarde, Unicode Conversion etc.

We haven't seen any in all of our systems.

If you have not implemented any new functionality you shouldn't see any performance differences.

Hi,

Yes, after EHP's upgrade there are increase in dialog response time. You need to fine tune your parameters.

Do you have any suggestions on what parameters to look at?

After upgrading our ECC6 EHP4 system to EHP5 I am also seeing increased Dialog Response time.
