Dear All,

We plan for Oracle Standby database for our production setup as part of DR solution.

What are the main creteria to consider hardware sizing for DR solution.

Thanks for your reply.

I gone thru quick sizer tool.

We need to give Which system we required. and there are three option for that Productive, Consolidation and Development.

There is no option for DR.

Hi,

I think, that relies on your dependencies:

Do you only want a standby server with the same size as the productive with a running standby databse or is a server for a restore sufficent?

Shall it be a hardware soultion with heartbeat, storage system ....etc ...

Dear,

If you want to make Disaster Recovery server then you first know the DB size of your actual server with DB02.

you have to purchase a server with same specs of Production server. If SAN connected with Production server then you will increase the capacity of hard disk in DR.
