Hello Sapient's,

My client want to Capture third party bulldozer Movement and Breakdown Activities and Calculating Efficiency for vendor.

I am thinking of creating Dummy Equipment ,but again the movement from one plant to another is tricky .

Also while fuel consumption activity IFCU , i want to capture the start point and destination point city names ..

Please suggest possible options ..

Hi Ajay,

Can you please explain a bit more? Were or how will the equipment be used? Do you use a pm order or PS project? What do you mean with start point and moving to another plant.

Thanks for the reply ,

Now if i create bulldozer in system as dummy for one plant , they move so frequent from one to the second.

how do i capture the which plant or functional location they consumed how much ....

2>Start and destination points has to be capture for other self own vehicles for reporting purpose.

Is there any provision to do this .

Hi,

Create only one Maintenance Plant under create different Maintenance Planner groups. As there is no User Exits available at IFCU transaction level, we need to create some transaction which will trigger the IFCU functionality as well as Notification with specific notification type.

So based on planner group in the notification & created measurement document, you may get the desired result. But it should be defined with some logic.

Hi Ajay,

We build a solution (because there's no user exit on the IFCU) with our input screen where we put in our own requirements. and validation checks. Then we call the IFCU program and process further with standard SAP functionality.

Question 1: Why should you assign the equipment to a plant? The customer provide the fuel so there's no need to have a plant, cost center etc.

The only thing you want to measure is the hours and fuel quantity and start/ end point.

We extend the table IMRG (measurement documentn table) with all extra fields we needed, like route number, material document etc ect. This we use for report purpose)

I think you can use a notification with your equipment to track and trace and update the measurement points.

I Hope this will help you a step further.

Hi Ajay,

I thnik you can use a notification with tasks or with an action box where in you assign certain task to track trace the equipment and update the measurement docs.

In my opinion your equipment is used a prt (prod resource tool) and the perfect solution for that is SAP ETM. But because you don't have the software you have to work with what you have.

As long as you not interested in the costs you don't have to use a pm order and you can a notification to track and trace your equipment.

If the equipment is assigned to a job a notification will be opened, the task can be used for creating or reminders that the hours and fuel must be captured and stay open as long as the equipment is on the job. It will help if you put all actions together in a flow and work from there.

Hello Johan,

In this post you have asked if the equipment is used either in PM order or PS Projects?

I have a situation where i am using a equipment in PS Projects and want to capture the fuel used and distance travelled by the equipment on a particular activity in a WBS.

Can you give me any inputs on this?

Because i have tried creating a equipment in SAP ETM and able to track fule and distance with the help of measuring points.

But unable to link it to PS project.
