i need to cancel delivery from the shipment as user says that the delivery of a particular order is not yet done but the delivery is showing up in the shipment, hence user wants to cancel the delivery from the shipment

Go to VT02n - Enter the shipment no and press enter

From the menu Goto - Shipment and Deliveries

Then select the delivery and click on DOWN ARROW icon ( Remove the delivery from Shipment ), then i got an error "transport shipment no. has already been scheduled'".

1. If shipment cost document is created and it is transferred - then you need to reverse the process by unchecking the Transfer checkbox and save (VI02)

2. Delete Shipment Cost doc.(VI02)

3. If no Shipment Cost document exists then - In VT02n - Uncheck all shipment steps which are ticked (like Planning, Checking, ...) - click on the boxes again starting from the last.

Now try cancelling delivery again.

that error means that you must firstly "uncheck" shipment status (deadline tab)

in order to remove delivery documents.
