smartforms - fields formating

can somebody explain me why this not working ?

variable1 = 1234567,12 . type currency.

i formated it in smartform output like: variable1(7.2RCT)&

but the output displayed is: *567,12

when i give the length like this: &variable1(9.2RCT)&

the it shifts to the *23567,12

this (7.2RCT) should mean, that number has 7 places before decimal point and 2 after isnt?
