Query on TREX performance

Hi SAP / Ecohub experts,

Can anyone comment on why TREX and presumably Enterprise Search is slow.

In terms of efficiency also , the results are not user friendly, but that is a secondary aspect.

My main concern is with the large amount of effort needed to setup Enterprise Search .

With Search having redefined itself and now entering its old age via Google and Baidu, can ABAP objects(Since most documents are still built on ABAP OO ) not be re-looked at to provide a better search capability.
