In OKG8 we have updated the WIP posting code. last year when we updated the wip code the column RA category was blank and the same was working fine for full year and the posting was getting done correctly.

In march an manual entry has been passed in to this account resulting in wip geting not posted to the present GL account.

Now i have created one more gl code for wip posting and when i wanted to assign the new gl code for posting, it gives an error " an entry already exists with the same key ".

as the RA category key is blank earlier , if save data with blank in RA category field, it is giving the above error. Now it is not accepting the blank field and when we select the options available the wip is not getting posted .

Please let me know how to close this issue.

Hi,

Your query is not very Clear, bez in OKG8 Transcation which is Meant for Maintaning Posting for RA & WIP Calculation Postings . How can RA Key FiELD be Blank. There no meaning in Maintaing the GL accounts to a Black Field. and I if Iam not worng, system will not allow to Keep tht Field Blank.

So PLease check again, there would be some RA Variant maintained in this T.code for the GL Account.

IF You want to maintain any New GL Account in this T.code ,you Should maintain tht by The below Parameters

controlling area , company code , RA Veriosn ,RA Category, cost element if needs to be Posted and P&L , Balance sheet GL Accounts. please Note tht you can not maintain same GL Account twice for single RA Key.
