portal access to repository for the whole enterprice

Hi All

Right now we are running the project where we had develop the solution in MDM repository. Solution works fine and we have created some iViews and pages on the Portal. All works fine.

Right now we got a challenge how can we publish portal pages and iViews to everybody in our company.

Normally we have to add user in the protal to the role and give also permission in MDM.

That is the problem - creating user accounts in MDM for everybody.

I think is rather impossible to create account in MDM repository for everybody in the company with read access to it.

Do you know any solution to grand permissions so everybody can see search results in the Portal and is not necessary to create account to everybody?

Something like common account "authenticated users" or "everybody" wil be perfect. But as far as I know it is not possible.

Do not know if we can use LDAP ?

Problem with LDAP is we have to change all repositories access not only to the particular one. Do you know any "workaround" so we can grand permissions to reposiroty for everybody wit hread only access and other repositorries are - not touched?

Hello Rafal

You connect to MDM from Portal installed through one system.

System use just one MDM user/password for connection to MDM.

You can manage your portal users permission from Portal

Portal user>Portal view -> portal user permissions->system>mdm user->mdm user permissions.

You can create different Portal views with different MDM content for different portal users (or portal user roles).

p.s.

For LDAP all mdm users should be in mdm
