Kernel Upgrade doesn't work

hello all,

We are doing a Ramp Up Installation for BW3.5 and facing the below

problems.

We have installed BW3.5 on SAP WAS ABAP 640(WIN2k, MS SQL 2000). When

we try to upgrade the SAP Kernel from our current level(SAP Kernel 640,

support Level 0) to SAP Kernel 640 Support level 19, the disp+work

doesn't come up..it remains in the "Running but not connected" state

(Yellow traffic light). When reverted to the current kernel level

everything runs smoothly.

Similarly when we try to apply the SAP_BASIS patches KB64001.CAR to

KB64004.CAR the test run gives an error code 8 for KB64002.CAR and

error code 4 for the remaining patches. The copy of errors is attached

herewith in the document "retun codes".

any solution.

thanks

Rajendra

    Hi Rajendra,

We're experiencing the same problem when upgrading the kernel from 6.40 PL21 to PL52.

Have you found a solution yet?

    Regards,

    Rob
