How does the portal Log In?

If I look at the source of umLogonPage.jsp, the Logon button is type=submit.

If I look at the enclosing form, the action = "".

What does the code call to log on?

The reason I ask is that I want to add code to SAPMLogonLogic, which is in the umebaselogon.jar

I think, if I am not mistaken, that if the action is blank on a Form element that the posting goes back to itself. Therefore it is posting back to the logon component.

    I hope this helps

    Yes that's correct.

It posts the parameters to itself. You can however post those parameters also to your portal root URL (http://server.domain:port/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.default#)

    Eric:

May I ask how did you go about change the SAPMLogonLogic class in umelogonbase.jar? I've modified some properties files within it before, but never change the class files.

    Appreciate your help!
