Remaining Life in Fixed Asset Importing of Item Master

Dear Experts,

I am currently importing FA Item Master, all records are working perfectly except for those records

that has been purchased after the First Posting Period of my current Fiscal Year.

Example :

First Period of my FY = 02-2011

FA Item was purchased on 04-2011

1. In the FA Item Master Template what will be the Remaining Life of this item? (FA Item was purchased on 04-2011)

2. Do I need to import it now or I just post a new Asset Aquisition?

3. What if my Opening Balance was imported on 04-2011?

I don't think you can import items acquired in the current fiscal year? I do recall finding a SAP note containing a work around for this.
