Missing Transaction Codes in the User Menu

Former Member

Hi Experts,

We have already setup a new role in our PRD and comprises 5 Company Codes assigned to a user. However, we cannot see the transaction code in his User Menu that we can see in the Role we created (PFCG). Why are the transaction codes still missing even they are assigned and activated in the Role Menu (PFCG)? Is there otehr way to check this?

Thanks so much!

Hi Cecilio,

There is a possibility that you guys might have unknowingly deactivated the Display menu check box. As such when the user logs in to his/her account, in the very first screen,i.e SAP Easy Access screen the user can activate the Display menu option by following the path Extras(Menu button) --> Settings, in the pop-up box if the check-box with option as "Do not display menu" is checked then please uncheck it and you will be able to find the user menu for that paricular user in the SAP Easy Access screen.

I hope this might help you.

Regards,

Ritesh

Hi,

in most cases the cause is redundancy avoidance. I fyou search for threads and sap notes with the key words 'delete_double_tcodes' and/or 'CONDENSE_MENU', you'll find the required details for the solution.

Hi Thank you for the Answers.

Checked in the system and Display Menu is activated - We can actually shift from SAP Menu to User Menu and also there is a custom transaction assigned to the same roles to the same users that is actually displayed. The 4 standard transactions and 1 new custom transaction are not displayed.

Hi,

set in the menu options fo rone of the affected users 'show first level'

then the user should see in his menu as first level the names of the assigned roles. and under that node the assigned t-codes.

Does he see the t-codes now under the corr. role name?

Without this option: can the user execute that t-code?

Did you search already in the hierarchy (enter t-code search_user_menu in the ok-code field) in sessoin manager.

I still think, that the t-codes are present but hidden somewhere else under a node in the user menu....

We can see them in all the role menus but not in the User Menu. We already searched all the menu as the user only has 4 menu folders with not much transaction codes. Only 1 Custom Tcode is reflected in the Folder and the other transaction codes are gone.

...and if you switch off redundancy avoidance?

Hi Cecilio,

In case composite role is assigned to user, the menu will have to be generated for the composite role by merging/importing role menu from single role. Hope this helps.
