"Server Busy" when importing Excel

When I try to import an Excel data file, the "Server Busy" dialog box opens with the option to "Switch to...". When I click on this, the Windows Start menu displays and that's as far as I get. Other times when this message appears with other dashboards, I'm able to click on Switch To a few times and then the program continues but not this time. I have to go to the Windows Task Manager and stop the process to get out of it.

Other dashboards work fine, just this new one that I had developed for me (same developer did the others too). It's a lot less complex than the other dashboards, the data file is only 13KB.

I've read that others had this problem. I updated to the 3.5 Fix pack and get the same results.

I'm running Windows 7 with Office 2010.

Any suggestions?
