Problem while installing WAS 6.40

Hi,

I am trying to install WAS 6.40 on Win 2000. I had earlier installed this successfully. But due to reverting my harddrive I have to install it again.

I am getting an error during the "start SAP J2EE engine" phase of the installation. The status message shows "J2EE Instance JC00: Starting ([dispatcher]: Starting, [server0]: Starting).

After like 780 seconds, it pops up an error message box to "retry", stop or cancel. I tried retry several times : - didn't work.

Tried to stop and then reboot, then started the SAP MMC. and the hardy0 and hardy1 services manually (where hardy is my machine name). The process list of hardy0 shows status in yellow for "Process = jcontrol.exe (J2EE server)", and status shows: some processes running.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
