Vendor batch doesn't appear in BMBC

Hi All,

in tcode BMBC, there is a selection in "usage" tab which I can select "Display vendor batch" option to display the vendor batch. When I select it and run the report, it does not appear the vendor batch column or info about the vendor batch.

What need to be done in order to display the vendor batch?

Hello Every one,

To display vendor Batch in BMBC you have to implement BADI (BIC_ADDITIONAL_DATA).

To display extra fields in Selection Result: Stock and Selection Result:Batches please implement (BIC_ADDITIONAL_DATA).

When I am in the change layout screen, under Column I only see 18 fields (material number, plant, batch, material type, and so on) and I scroll down until the last field I do not see the field Vendor batch. Is the display field controlled by the security?

I have in total 23 fields.

and it is not restricted by security.

just select all fields to be listed, so that the right window in field selection remains empty.

then check if you see a vendor batch in your list

the display window on the left is in hierarchy, then I click "display as list" button. After that, I change the layout to include the vendor batch field. But the vendor batch field is not listed.

the field vendor batch is twice listed in available fields, you probably choosed the wrong one.

It depends on your batch level if vendor batch is listed in table MCHA or MCH1, hence it can be read from both tables.

go again in change layout and scroll in the field list to end to find the second vendor batch field and select it.

There are some vendor batch# in field LICHA in table MCHA. When I try to change the layout, I do not see the Vendor batch field which I can include in the display list. Maybe there is a limitation for the layout.

can you describe how your selection result is displayed?

what do you see in this window?

only material number with an arrow in front, or do you see directly the batch number. It matters at which level you look at the data, the vendor batch can only be shown at batch level.

first you have to have a vendor batch in your batch record (table MCHA or MCH1)

After you executed the selection of the usage tab, you get a list of batches in the left window. Here you should see the vendor batch immediatly. you may have to extend the width of the window.

if the vendor batch cannot be seen, then click the icon for Layout > change in this window and make sure the vendor batch is included in the fields to be displayed
