B1 8.8 Data Archive Wizard

Because our application maintains data associated with B1 documents subject to being archived, it needs to be closely involved in the archive process. We need to be notified when the wizard is removing certain B1 transactions so that we can purge related data. We also need the ability to prevent the wizard from removing B1 transactions associated with open transactions implemented by our application. Does the wizard publish events throughout the proocess and if so, how do we subscribe? Can the wizard be extended to allow us to redefine which B1 transactions can be removed, and to add our transactions?

Thanks for the help.

Dana

    Hi Dana,

I don't think the wizard can be extended to allow you to redefine which B1 transactions can be removed. If that is allowed, the data consistency will become an issue.

The best bet is perform Data Archive in the test environment. Then based on the outcome to decide which way you will go.

    Thanks,

    Gordon
