crytal reports commection to a sap query in tr. sq03

Hi Colleagues,

I`m currently starting with crystal reports.

On the backend BW System in transaction SQ03 I have created a SAP Query (not BW Query). In fact it as a Query on Infoset. In the menu EDIT / SETTINGS the 3. Tab is called u201CCrytsal Reportsu201D with the function u201CRegenerate report automaticallyu201D and u201CTemplateu201D.

Could anyone provide me some more details to this settings.

According to the F1 help this function creates a new report automatically when I export the data. When I execute it, it does not do anything. No crystal report gets generated. I was able to establish the database connection to this sap query in crystal and the query is available in the open dialog of CR. But it is not clear what is for u201CRegenerate report automaticallyu201D

Template says:

Specify the name of a Crystal Report into which you want to export the data. The name must contain the complete file path.

When I open the F4 help I do not see any crystal report however I do have some.

Could you please help me with these settings?

Hi,

i don't think that this functionality is still available. This was an integration at R/3 4.6 / 4.7.

In case you would like to create a Crystal Reports based on an InfoSet you can do so from Crystal Reports directly.

Hi Ingo,

Yes, you are right. In the meantime I also go an answer in my SAP OSS message. This function is obsolete and will be removed with the nex SP Level.
