Table lead selection

Hi All,

Once again I encounter problem with table lead selection,

One of the columns is inputField and I use getLeadSelection() to determine the row I am working on.

When I <b>click</b> (push and release button) on input field then lead selection of the table chages but when I <b>push</b> on the mouse button in inputField and then drug it to select the value on the input field then lead selection of the table is <b>not</b> changed.

The second scenario is very useful because it is a naturally way to change values in the field, at least for my customers, so is an anybody familiar with a problem or have an idea for some work around?

    This is known behavior. You shouldn't rely on the lead selection being really the row currently edited. What are you trying to do?

      Recently we have a need to track every change to context element attributes and come up with quite elegant solution (a least, it covers our use-cases).

      1. We create our own WD model (you can think about JavaBeans or XMI import, however it was not exactly this)

      2. We replace plain context node with model node over our model class instance.

      3. Our model class instances are just regular JavaBeans, but (hmmm.., why "but" 😉 they are support property change tracking via registering JavaBeans PropertyChangeListener and notifying them.

      Viola! Any changes (programmatic & invoked by user) are tracked by our model class and interested listeners get notified. So we can track for "dirty" state in our objects.
