Drop down entries

Hi,

Is it possible to configure or set the required entries only in drop down, seperately for each user in an organization?

I mean, if we go to ME21N to create PO, at drop down of 'plant field' we can see the list of all customized plants. Say 10 plants there. If user A is responsible only for plant1, plant2 and plant 3, I like to set for him these 3 plants only in dropdown entries.

Is this possible, without help of Authorization objects etc.?

Regards,

Sattuj

no this is not possible to limit the plants shown in drop down.

the user can set his preferred plant in personal settings in ME21N.

If he has no authority, i can choose the plant but never create a PO for this plant. so he will learn fast not to choose plants he is not responisbile for.

    Hi Sattuj,

I thought you might be interested of the following solution.

You are probably aware of the personal values list that one can create for him-/herself in any F4-list; you mark an entry and press F6 (insert in the personal value list).

Well, these lists are stored in the table DDSHPVAL50 and I think there are some function modules in the group SDSD that can be used to maintain it centrally. It seems like it is also possible to update the table directly by creating a maintenance module for it (trs SE11 -> Utilities -> Table maintenance generator). But I have never tried to do so.
