WebAS 6.4 stopped working

Hello Experts,

I have successfully installed and tested WebAS 6.40 preview version on my laptop on Aug 17th. To conserve my system resources, I made all SAP services manual under control panel/services on XP.

Today I tried to bringup the services and start the instances. I successfully started SAPDB WWW, SAPDB J2E services (.CSAPDBJ started, but then sut itself down after few seconds). I could see the DB status in MMC, and everything was green except recovery/database.

Then I started J2E SAP instances, and instance 1 started successfully, however instance 0 (jcontrol.exe) failed to start.

Here are relevant log entries from jvmbootstrap.log:

com.sap.engine.bootstrap.SynchronizationException: Database initialization[Bootstrap module]> Problem occured while performing synchronization.

trap.initDatabaseConnection(Bootstrap.java:403)

....

....

Caused by: com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException: SAP DBTech JDBC: Cannot connect to jdbc:sapdb://vishaldolphin/J2E [Cannot connect to host vishaldolphin [Connection refused: connect], -813.]

...

...

Seems like bootstrap is failing due to failed JDBC connection.

Can someone help me here? Is it failed .CSAPDBJ start, expired sneak preview license, or some other problem?

What services should I start from control panel before going to MMC?

Thanks

I am also facing the same issue. I have webas 6.40 - not the sneak preview version.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!
