F4 help returns a blank pop up

Former Member

Hi,

Version ECC 6.0 IDES, Window 2003, Oracle 10g

Whenever I place a cursor in any field and press F4 help, the resulting pop up, is blank.

At the bottom of the pop up it says "so many entries found" but doesn't show the actual entries.

Using SAPgui 710, patched it to level 20, but the problem still persists.

For eg, in transaction rz10, if press F4 with the cursor in profile field, I get popup which is blank,

but lists the number of entries.

Regards,

VV

Hello,

Check the table DDSHPVAL50 for the users that have problems with search help.

The cause could be related with a personal value list that is corrupt.

You could remove the entries for the users from this table.

881048 - F4 Help: Unicode conversion for table DDSHPVAL50

Also, there is a known issue with SAPKB70019. Please implement the advanced correction number 732160 in the following note;

1319466 - F4 help:Value transport between coll./elementary search help

Hope it helps resolve the issue.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

The notes mentioned by you all relate to a unicode conversion.

Would it still apply to a system that was installed as a Unicode.

We are currently at SAPKB70008, so the corrections mentioned in the note might not apply in this case.

Hi,

Please check your internet explorer version, it should be 8.

Hello,

In any case, please, delete the contents of the DDSHPVAL50 table entirely. Table DDSHPVAL50 is a table with temporary data and can be emptied without problems. In this way you, at least, will discard this possible cause.

SAPGUi 7.10 is not supported since April 16th 2011 (AM not 100% sure about exact date)

upgrade to SAPGUI 7.20 and apply patch level 6

Hi,

I have started downloading the SAPgui 7.20, will update you folks once I install it.

Does this have anything to do with the settings that I might have missed?

SAPgui 710 works well with other versions of R/3.

Does this problem has anything to do with the authorizations given to a user?

Hi Eric,

I have installed SAPgui 720, as you had suggested. It did not solve the problem.

Any suggestions?
