How Do I Batch Delete Instances (Non-Tomcat User)

I ran into that issue with the DST screwing up our scheduled reports and didn't notice until today. I started reading all over and found the notes in the SAP KB. I did find the tool that would help me batch delete the failed instances however it looks like it's using Tomcat. Is there another KB article that has the code for IIS users?

As far as I know the tool will help you to reschedule the instances in a neutral way but it has to be used before the problem occurs.

In your case you have generic 2 options:

    1) Use the Instance manager in the CMC to erase the failed instances.

    2) Set a limit for the number of instances either at the top level of the public and the personal folders or directly on the folder they failed reports reside. This will trigger the automatic deletion of instances in your system. Depending on the locaiton where you set this you have to be carefull since succesfull instances may also be imnpacted.

    Hope this helps.

Does option number 2 take a while to process? I set the limit and it looks like nothing is deleting. I'll check back on it tomorrow to make sure some of those instances got deleted. I set the limit both at the folder level and the report level so we'll see what happens.
