Hi All, I would like to know if anyone has some pointers on integrating SAP Business One and SAP R/3. I would like to know about any utilities, programs, examples that's available. All I want to do is to be able to create a Purchase Order in R/3 and a Sales Order should be created in Business One (or the other way around). Please any input is appreciated.
Kindest regards,
Adele
There is an Integration Toolkit (ITK) for Business One that is designed to work along with SAP XI to provide certain integrations between SBO and R/3. I haven't used it myself yet, perhaps your local SAP representative can provide you with more details.

And also if you dont have much budget to buy XI you can use business connector as a middleware tools between R/3 System And SBO. but you have to Install ITK too. I have some documentation about Business Connector 4.7 ( server and developer ) but i think you can download it in SAP site. The Concept is the same data inbound / outbound from / to SBO / R3 will be mapped in Business Connector / XI and in SBO ITK will be download/upload it by schedule in the R3 Side you can use IDOC to translate XML from BC /XI .
But i think it will be more completely since you have to understand java that will be used to configure and mapping in Business Connector / XI .
But there's a simple way to integrate R/3 and SBO . Using Files ( even XML,Encrypted Flat Files, Excel etc). For Your Case for example PO create in R3 System you can use ABAP to generate Text Files . And Then PO Files imported by SBO System Using DI API, but dont forget to mapping the data inbound from R3 to fields in Document Object (Sales Order ) in SBO For Example . Simply Like Done . I have done this method in My Client that Its headquarter using R3 . Well It's up to u which method do u want to use.
Cheers
Hamdi
