Max DB Version upgrade from 7.6 to 7.8 for Content Server @ Win 2008 R2

Hello,

I'm working on Max DB Version upgrade from 7.6 to 7.8 for Content Server @ Win 2008 R2 and stuck up in an issue, where under services, i can see MAX DB: SDB service status as Starting, instead of Start/Stop.

I did tried to analayse a lot, but no luck. May i know, wht exactly it meant, since i can't do any thing in DB- SDB.

I did followed note # 1353266 and as per that, have taken DVD # 51038550. Just would like to know, what should be the steps i need to follow for Successful Upgrade of Max DB, since due to this My content server repositories are not connecting with DB, through ECC system. It is getting error as

"HTTP error: 500 (Internal Server Error)

"CreateTab ContentStorage, connect error

SQLConnect failed, [Microsoft][ODBC Driver

Manager] Data s"

Waiting for suitable advice/solution to solve this...

Its new installation on Win 2008 R2.

(sorry no solution).

Another problem was, that the ODBC driver wasn't correct, in CSADMIN, 'driver' points to MAXDB(?), but on the Windows server the ODBC driver MAXDB still points to 7.6
