Current year asset transfer

Hi All,

We are facing a problem in calculating depreciation for current year assets.

Our fiscal year starts from July-june. We have posted the acquisition on 07/01/2010 (July first) this is our first period.

After performing the depreciation run for the first period, we have transferred to the new co code. We have given asset value date as 08/01/2010 (while transferring).

But in the new asset the deprciation for period 1 is also calculated. Ideally, the depreciation should start from the 2nd period. However system considers both periods (1 and 2) depreciation and posts the value.

Can any one help me to understand how current year depreciation will be calculated when we do inter company tansfer?
