Fiscal year 0000 not allowed for year-dependent commitment items

Hi Gurus,

I am facing a problem in FM

Error "Fiscal year 0000 not allowed for year-dependent commitment items" at the time of posting FI GL entry.

Configuration details :

FM Not active

Year Depended Master data Activated

Commitment Item /Fund Center created and mapped to the FM Area/Hierarchy.

GL Accounts mapped to Commitment item.

We are in ECC6 - EA PS component Level 600.

Please help to resolve the issue.

Hi,

You don't have FM active, but you have year-dependent commitment items. What's the purpose of commitment items then? Do you use Cash management? Normally, this message would come if the variant for commitment items is not properly assigned to FM area.

Hi Eli,

I am still in the preparation phase (this is an additional requirement from the client) and i am configuring in the Sandbox. Once i completed the tasks i thought of activating the FM as if i activate it may affect the testing of other module.

Your suggesion please.

Hi,

I'm afraid you have to complete your configuration (including activation of FM) before strating doing postings. Otherwise, it's only normal that certain transactions won't be posted due to incomlete configuration of the system.
