Webi: Refresh on Demand + Save Right but NO Edit Rights?

Hi

Is there a way that we can setup security that a User/Group has Webi: Refresh on Demand + Save Right but NO Edit Rights?

I experimented all options in granular level but I find that to Save, one must have EDIT rights.

Can I give a user/group the right to Save a Webi report (equiv. of "Add Objects to Folder") but deny Edit right (equiv. to "Edit Object")?

What I found is, if I give "Add Objects to Folder" and "Deny Edit Object" right, the user is unable to even Save the report to the specific folder where it belongs to.

The reason I'm doing this is (use case) because Live Office connection is set to pick data from "Saved Webi report".

Work flow is:

- User Runs Webi on demand chosing prompt values and then Saves the report to its folder.

- User then refreshes a live office dashboard (that will show data as per "Saved Webi report") and then does what-if analysis on it.

What I'm trying to make sure is that the User should not be able to Edit the webi report in production but be able to save it to its folder after running it.

Please suggest.

Thanks

    I found the solution:

    - For the Webi/folder, give/allow EDIT rights to the User/Group

    - For Webi Application, DENY the following rights for User/Group:

-- Enable Interactive HTML Viewing (if License Permits)

    -- Enable Java Report Panel

    -- Enable HTML Report Panel

    Explicitly Grant:

    -- Create Document

The above when implemented will fullfil the requirement.

    Thanks
