SAP ISU RTP Price Profile

I am trying to configure RTP for real time scenarios like index prices which will be coming as input from market. We have done some configuration on this but on billing we are getting bill as Normal bill i.e. Total amount . I want to see the calculation as per the intervals ? e.g every 30 mins.

Also If I have to attach prices for every 30 mins How can I do that ? If we have to use price profile ...then we cannot create a RTP operand for price as RTP operand will be used only for Quantity, demand & Amount.

Any help will be appriciated.

thanks

I think you have 2 options:

1. If you just want to bill each 30 mins with a price then you can create a formula profile for each customer that is to be billed like this.

The profile should have PV category Amount and as a formula you may use LIMIT02. Define the limit as 0 and all your consumption will be above the limit and evaluated with the price profile.

You would then have to calculate your formula profile to be able to bill the customer. The RTP interface can then calculate the total amount and if you require eg. peak demand.

2. You can do it completely in the RTP interface.

Define a price profile and use this as an input parameter, either by role or enter the specific profile number in the RTP interface, to your formula.

As the other input parameter use your quantity profile, allocated by role.

Then your formula will calculate price * quantity and return a profile. The result functions in the RTP interface result parameters make it 1 value (the sum, minimum or maximum or any other function you define).

Make your formula store the calculated result profile as well, by finding the result profile to store on based on the input profile (allocation to register, profile role to find right profile).

Option 1 is the most simplistic and would need no custom development.

Hi ,

Thanks a lot for detailed support.I seems working but we are not able to display the values for profiles (input/output) in RTP analysis in Billing document. Does we are missing something ? We are able to see the a single line calculation. For your info I have done following steps :

1.Defined RTP Interface as per your mail

2.We have uploaded Price Profile & Quantity Profile in formula allocation

3.We r getting result of this as Amount so designed a rate with LUMSUM02 where price will be 1 .

4.Still we are getting a single line calculation instead of displaying all profile values

If you suggest something will help to resolve this.

Thanks in advance.

RTP analysis tab in the billing document should show the input values. I do remember that this functionality is a bit strange. It does not always seem to do what it should or what you expect.

In your billing document itself it will always be one total line calculated. You will not get the 30 minute values in your billing document. Since you already calculated the quantity*price yourself in the formula profile, you can build your invoice form such that it reads the formula profile.

Hi Sujit,

I tried to replicate your scenario.

I created a RTP Interface which had quantity and price as input and amount as output.

So I am calculating the price in the interface itself.<Quantity * Price = Amount.>

For this i created a RTP Formula in similar lines to MULTI02 replacing factor with price.

I allocated the profiles(quantity profile and price profile for 15 min interval) in the RTP Interface.

In the facts I give the 'price' as 1.

after executing the billing i get one line item in the billing document as expected.

Click on the RTP Analysis button then go to the the input parameter-overview tab where i can see the values for the two profiles by clicking on the profile number respectively.on the result parameter tab also i can see the amount for the 15 min time interval by clicking on the result number..

Is this what you wanted to achieve?? Please do revert back

regards,

Rakesh..
