All production variance category t/f to COPA

Dear Experts,

I want to use all production variance category in PA transfer structure.

We have 6 or 8 variance category.

1) Shall i assign all cost element to All variance category in all 8 assignments under PA transfer structure. means all cost element will be linked to all assignment which is assigned to different value field and Variance indicator. but cost element will be common for all variance indicator or Seperate cost element Group for each variance category.

2) Need to create value fields for all variance indicator? or Value fields are provided by Lot size value field,Mixed value field, resouce usuage variance

3) Will require Souce structure for transfering production variance in settlement profile.

If yes then what will be the grouping of Cost element.

4) Will i assign Price difference a/c defined in OBYC of SFG and FG in OKB9 as default indicator PSG.

Your response will be highly appreciated.

Q1 & 2 - Yes, you can do so... But not recommended....

You will unnecessarily block no of value fields by assigning each cost component to each variance categiry and ultimately assigning them to a different value Field

COPA is not meant to analyse variances.... Cost Comp wise variance categories are available in KKO0 reports.. So, dont waste COPA for this reporting

Q3 - No, source structure not reqd

Q4 - No... Variance a/c need not be created as cost element.. Just tick the "Variances to costing based COPA" in settlement profile
