Error at JSPM Patch 23 deployment

Hi Team,

Once i logged into through JSPM and clicking on deploy some of the components are deployed and it is showing error like

"The J2EE Engine is not running. Start it and then Resume. If the J2EE Engine can not be startted you can continue with the deployemnt. The J2EE engine is in SAFE Mode."

At the time of deployment the below parameters are add to

" -Dstartup.mode=SAFE -Dstartup.action=UPGRADE"

And the below paramter are changed to



Now the status is Java is not comming up.

The log JSPM_MAIN_1_01.LOG shows

May 4, 2011 1:59:45 AM [Error]:

May 4, 2011 1:59:46 AM [Error]: Cannot connect SDM on host ttcsap05 and port 5xx18.

May 4, 2011 2:01:29 AM [Info]: Detecting components of the J2EE engine...

And the log dev_jcontrol shows

[Thr 1] INFO: Invalid property value [mode=SAFE -Dstartup.action=UPGRADE]

[Thr 1] *** ERROR => Main class not specified [jstartxx_mt. 2592]

[Thr 1] *** ERROR => Can't read node [-Dstartup] from file [/usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGSxx/j2ee/cluster/] [jcntrxxi_mt. 1781]

[Thr 1] *** ERROR => can't initialize process [-Dstartup] from file [/usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGSxx/j2ee/cluster/] [jcntrxxi_mt. 304]

[Thr 1] JControlCloseProgram: started (exitcode = -1)

[Thr 1] JControlCloseProgram: good bye... (exitcode = -1)

Please let me know what needs to be done.

    Hi Arun,

    Please check JAVA system is up and also check are able to access the the JAVA url.

    • Hello Arun, Could you please check if you are able to start SDM ?

      Can you start the JAVA instance and retry from JSPM.

      Also, list down the component you are trying to import ? and if he previously deployed component is an Offline deployment component.
