Item Types cannot registered in UWL

Hi Experts,

We built a custom workflow template which deliver custom work task(TS999*). The custom workitem could be found in GUI workplace but not in UWL. After registering item types in UWL, we still could not find the task item types in UWL xml config files.

There are some kind of custom tasks can be found in uwl xml config files. We compared them with our tasks and found they are business object method tasks when our tasks are abap class method tasks. Does uwl not support register such tasks? Many thanks.

    Hi Darcy,

    Did you access SWFVISU in the backend system for the workitems and set them up accordingly there as per the documentation? Once you do this and reregister the workitems, they should come into the Universal Worklist.

    Alternatively you can manually adjust the xml file yourself and code for the the way the item launches. Have a look here at the action handler documentation:

      Hi Beth,

      Thanks a lot for your quick reply! I configed the SWFVISU and now Item Type can be Registered automatically. But unfortunately I still could not find the work item on UWL.

      My workflow template is very simple. Just one step, the task(TS99807939) is object FORMABSENC method CREATE. The agent is fixed user usr001.

      I excuted the workflow manually and user usr001 could find the task in GUI Workplace. The record also existed in table SWWUSERWI. But user usr001 could not find it from his uwl page.

      The uwl connection to the backend should be OK. Because the decision type task can be found. (Generated by other workflow template).

      The UWL XML generated automatically by system of this task is blow:

      <ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.TS99807939.SAP_SRM" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="launchIView" executionMode="default">
            <ItemTypeCriteria systemId="SAP_SRM" externalType="TS99807939" connector="WebFlowConnector"/>
            <Actions>
              <Action name="launchIView" groupAction="" handler="IViewLauncher" returnToDetailViewAllowed="yes" launchInNewWindow="yes" launchNewWindowFeatures="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no">
                <Properties>
                  <Property name="iview" value="pcd:portal_content/SVWSRM/IVIEW/ZCTR_QUERY01_7_1_1"/>
                  <Property name="newWindowFeatures" value="resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no"/>
                  <Property name="openInNewWindow" value="yes"/>
                  <Property name="display_order_priority" value="5"/>
                </Properties>
                <Descriptions default=""/>
              </Action>
            </Actions>
          </ItemType>

      Do you have any suggestion on it? Many thanks.
