Dear Guru's

I have changed the qty for one of the BOM component with the help of change number. The changes can be seen in CS80. But, this change number is not visible in the master data tab of production order.

Am i missing any of the settings. I want the change number to appear in the master data tab of production order

Is the change before or after the production order creation? If you change the master data after you create production orders, it will not show in production orders. You can explore OCM functionality to activate the changes in production orders, if needed.

If it is before, please also check the valid date. The changes master only applied in production orders if the basic start date lies within the valid from date in change master.

The valid from date is from today 04/05/2011 & also after changing the master only, I have created the production order. Also, I have maintained the read PP master data. Even though, the change number is not visible in production order

Hi,

You can not see chnage number itself in production order but you can see chnages made to BOM using chnage number being exported in production order componenets overview.

Check the BOM explosion date you are entering in the read master PP data.

I just want to see the change number in production order. The BOM exploision date in read PP master data is given as today.

But, I am not able to view the change number

Hi,

Change number it self can not be seen in production order. Only changes made by using change number will be visibale. thats standard SAP.

Look at the masyter data tab..you will find BOM details , along with change number details

Change number can be seen in the production order. It is visible in the production order of other plant.
