Dear Experts,

I am working in strategy 40, my issue is when delivery of sales order is eg. 10.05.2011 after running MRP planned order creates but in the stock requirement list the date next to planned order is displays as 10.05.2011, my inhouse production time is 1day, so if i maintain that, in the planned order it displays start date as 09.05.2011 and finish date as 10.05.2011, but when i am converting that planned order to production order it displays start date and finish date as 10.05.2011. what settings i am missing in this case.

Thanks & Regards,

Karad Devidas

Basic dates of the production order are calculated by scheduling (I assume capacity requirements scheduling is not used), the hoursd in the routing is what matters. If you run MRP considering the inhouse production time, basic dates for the planned order are calculated using inhouse production time. This may be the reason of the difference.

Dear,

In material master Inhouse production time is maintained 1day, in routing setup time 100mins, machine time 60mins, but when i am converting planned order to production order start time and finish time of order is exact same, not a minute of difference, what may be the reasons.

Hi,

As pavan said, it is all correct. When you run MRP with planning mode : 1 (adapt planning data) plan date will be create considering in house production in MRP 2 view. There will be no production schedule in planned order since it is not a lead time scheduling in planning mode.

When you convert this planned order to production order, system will count production date with you routing master data. Date and time will appear. In you case please check possibility configuration of scheduling parameter (OPU3)

Hi Devidas,

In your case system is behaving properly. I guess you have maintianed 1 day as productin time in MRP 2 view of the material master. Which is considered for basic scheduling.

When any planned orders are created system does basic scheduling and accordingly the time/date are calculted.

When any production order is created system always does lead time scheduling / exact scheduling. Which considers the time/s maintained in the routing of the corresponding material, which are exact times of production.

Please check your routing and base qty maintained which I am sure will not be more than a day after calcualtions.

( total produciton time = production qty * time in routing / base qty)

Also please check production order itself in Dates sub tab.

You can find basic / scheduled / confirmed dates along with time (start as well finish)

Pavan

Dear,

I have created production order for 5,000,00 quantity and after clicking on schedule icon still the start time and finish time is exactly the same and routing is defined for 1 quanity in which 100mins is setup time and 60 mins as machine time, so what is still wrong here.

Hi,

Check settings in OPU3 - Specify scheduling parameters for the selected order type.

Also check what formulae are used in work center for scheduling for corresponding entry in routing.

Check that formula (in OP21) whether allowed for scheduling.

If not please mark the indicator and check again.

Let me know the result.

Hello .

Assuming that U have chosen the correct scheduling basis (machine) and correct scheduling formulas.

Then you need to go to Opu3 as pavan mentioned ...

enable scheduling for u r order type ....Detailed routing tab,

Adjust schedulin tab...Adjust basic dates, adjust dep.

Schedulin control for detailed schedulin tab....AUTOMATIC

.......You have run MRP using basic scheduling and you got the dates as per Materila master settings...

........Now convert planned order to production order and you should be able to see the Excat scheduled dates in the order.

Hi,

Have you checked the schedule margin key for the material. Also the duration of all the operations in the routing.
