User Exit

Hi All,

I want to exactly know what is meant by User Exit? Under what scenarios User Exit can be used?

Can anyone help me with an example?

    Hi,

    User Exit are used to allow or add some additional functionality or enhancment to standadrd SAP programe without modyfying the standard programme .

    For example if we want to create automatic notification when we enter some Measuring document out of range then it can be achived by user exit .
