Advice needed for running SAP without Partner Contract

Dear Experts,

Our team is planing to running it SAP B1 operations without Partner Contract but our contract with SAP will remain. I have studied into the prospect and found following:

- All the queries to SAP (on customer portal) regarding Licences purchase, problem diagnostic are redirected to the Channel Partners.

- I recently updated the Patch from PL10 to PL 14 it was available with the Channel Partners.

- We will be updating from version 2007 A to 8.8.1for that the Channel is totally involved.

Now these are couple of scenarios of which I know about their will be even more. My question is how will all the patches be updated and the versions and queries be dealt by SAP directly? Please advice as this is very important for us.

    Do you mean that you want SAP AG local office in your country will responsible for the SBO upgrade ? I think it is impossible. SAP AG will ask you to find another SAP local partner but if the rule is changed, you can do that. In previous release, all SBO end users can freely change their partner contract.
