Issue - Speical case to add new field as nav. attribute

Former Member

We have one report use infoobject A. Infoobject A has hierarchy(Infoobject B is superior A. -compounding). Now we want to have new infoobject C as same as A. Both have same records, but C will show only hierarchy in this report. I'm thinking of adding C into A as navi. attribute and mapping C with A in master attribute transfer rule. But, I wonder if there will cause any data incorrectness. Could anyone have a check and give some advise?

Many thanks,

rajatina.

Hi ,

Creating c as reference is a good thing and it will be helpful as you will not have data redundancy and as far as performance is concerned it will be affected at report level .

hi,

The above scenario may work but you will have to show C as char in the report and show hierarchy of A, as you would not be able to load hierarchy for C. The performance is the only thing which will be effected.
