Xcelsius - Powerpoint does not save data.

Hi,

I creted Xcelsius dashboard and exported to PPT. I had a refresh button, so when I click it refreshes and fetches latest data. I saved PPT but it will not hold latest refreshed data, latest data vanishes and again I need to refreshes to fetch latest data. Why PPT is not saving data.Please help.

XCelsius does not save the data fetched last. THe only way to do this is to consider adding a local scenario button. This will save the actual status of your dashboard on the computer your xcelsius flash file runs on. Please keep in mind though that the data are note saved in the "carrier" file eg. powerpoint or PDF rather on the local flash memory. This menas that the data persistence is only imilted on the workstationyou are using.

Generally speaking, Xcelsius is a read only tool. You save data centrally, but it's a bit of work, explained in detail here:

Data that is loaded from an external data connection is not saved in the PowerPoint file.

To stop having to refresh data you can set the data to refresh on load.

This can be done in the xcelsius model by going to Data --> Connections

On the "Usage" tab for your connection tick the box next to "Refresh Before Components Are Loaded"
