send portal user id to asp page

Hi,

we need to pass "sap portal user id" as parameter to our asp.net page with URL iview.

i gave <User.UserID> parameter but it didn't work, my method is GET.

Is it possible send paramaters from URL iview to ASP.NET page, if yes how can i do ?

my parameters infos;

URL Parameter : user

Value : <User.UserID>

Type : User information

Personalize : Read/write

    Hi Hatsan,

    I am not sure how to pass dynamically User ID to URL iview directly, But i can tell you

    one work around which will work.

    In portal create Par application here you get the Logged-in user details.

    Now redirect to your asp application and in url append the userid.

    HI,

    In URL iView, for URL parameters you can select the Type as User Information. This will allow you to pass the parameters dynamically.

    thank you for responses,

    Piyush, we solved our issue with your method, we created par file redirect to asp page with userid.

    Kumar, your advice is good and can solve the problem, but we have not all users in backend system, so it can not solve our problem exactly.
