    Hi,

Inside the main window use two row types, one with coloured and another with uncoloured.

Code it accordingly so that the coloured and uncoloured row type triggers alternately .

Theres a difference between alternate and alternative. Go back to the person who gave you the specs.

The lines are dynamic and depends on the data that needs to be printed in Main Window.

      Hi,

Ok. Line items every time dynamic, but that back grounds displaying Rows are Static. Then only this should be possible as per my knowledge.

For that do like the below :

      MAIN WINDOW

      -->LOOP

--->Take Template and divide it reqd. No. of columns.

Take Row height as per Line item Maximum height

by displaying maximum characters per each line item.

      -

      >display Work area of LOOP

Place another Secondary window with equal dimens of MAIN means OVERLAP on Main window by 4 sides

      -

      >Take Template

      -

      >Divide it Number of Columns and Rows.

Each Row Height should be capable to display the 1 Line item of Main window LOOP node

      -

      >Then apply Shade alternatively each row.

For Ex : Main window have 5 Line items then MAIN window 5 Lines items will Display on 5 Rows of Secondary window Template node Rows. Remaining Rows from Secondary window--Template will display as Empty with alternate shades.

Please let me know if you require more inputs.

      Hi,

Place another Secondary Window on Main window by equaling both windows Dimensions .

Then Line items will coming from Main window. Alternative colored Rows displaying from Secondary window Template.

Yes, Venkat... Now I got your solution. Also, I tried it and its working fine....

But as per me this would not be good as we are hard coding the secondary window... this solution is static and it may fail in some case where the data has exceeds its lenght and then it would fail..

Also, I have to create many secondary windows for this purpose which would be equal to the half of the lines present in Main window....

So, Can we think of a dynamic solution here?

      Hi,

Then Reduce Main window Height and Upper margin to fit the Line items with in Height of Secondary window that should display line items matching the Shaded lines(Rows).

      -

      Upper point of Secondary window

      -

      Upper Margin of MAIN

*****Display Line items with in space limit of Main window and Should match the Shaded rows of Secondary window**

      -

      Lower Margin of MAIN

      -

      Lower Margin of Secondary Window

thats what i said... I don't know at this time whether the Main's line item would be smaller or bigger in height than my secondary window. So, we cannot go by this method...

    Hope you have understood me...

    Hi Jshree,

    Thanks for the reply....

You are right, but the logic here is the tricky one to call those table lines alternately....

and we did solved this issue last night....
