- you did not mention which database you use
- you did not mention what exact DVD (Installation Master you used)
--> no one can really comment on that if you don't give more information.
Both are released on Windows 2008 (PI 7.1 and PI 7.1 EHP1). Depending on what database you plan to you use you have to check notes for special kernels that need to be used during installation but as said, without any information what errors you got it's impossible to suggest something.
