Hi guys,
My client has employees in US and Canda. They are replacing their legacy payroll system which used to calculate US and Canda payroll. The number of employees in Canada are just handful. We plan to implement US Payroll but not sure how to handle the Canadian employees. I guess implementing Canadian payroll for just a handful of employees is an overkill in terms of implementation and maintaiance costs.
They are in a situation where they have to replace their legacy system entirely. Appreciate any inputs on this.
Thank you
regards
raj
Hello Raj,
Even your client has only a few employees in Canada you will need to customize SPRO for Canadian payroll, and run payroll for this employees under Canadian functionality. The way like system calculates taxes for the countries vary too much and it's not possible to run payroll for employees from different countries using the same payroll driver.
Payroll driver for US is RPCALCU0 (RPCALCU0_CE for concurrent employment environments) while for Canada is RPCALCK0 (also RPCALCK0_CE). Each payroll driver uses specific customizing for each country. You can find additional information searching information in this forum, in the Wiki pages and in Service MarketPlace.
Kind regards,
Felipe
