Hello All

As enhananced model is setup for 1200 in IDES so able to create Work Approval via WCTA, but i am not able to assign this Work approval this to Maintenance Order..

Is there iany process to create direct work apporval from maintenance order.

Hi,

I forgot to complete the first step of activating WCM from orders , Once the WCM is activated in the order through assigning the preconfigured permit as I mentioned earlier , A workapproval button will appear on the top of the order.By clicking there you can proceed to create WAP from order

Thanks for giving your percious time. Now i am able to attach the work approval to maintenance order manually.

but still the system not allow me to create work approval direct through maintenance order.

i already attache the work permit (WCM) to Maintennace Order as wel as change the control key (WCM) still the Work approval icon is not reflecting in same ..

Now i am able to create Work Approval directly thru Maintenance Order but after assigning the Permit i have to hit Valuation TAB ...

but don't know the significances of Valuation TAB ? .

Now only one thing is pending, how to make the order status WOCO to close the WCA

Dear Kapil,

Hope you have created the WAP from order and WCA from WAP.Assume that you don't want WCD.

Once the WAP and WCA are prepared and the approvals(if any) are issued (permit can be printed from WCA), in the order Release for execution tab(button) will appear.Once the release for execution is done. The WOCO button will be available.

Regarding hitting valuation tab to create WAP from order.

You might have activated valuation for WCM usage in orders.

Thanks for giving your precious time

Strange, i don't know why i am not getting the WOCO button after releasing the Order via green Flag, i also try via hitting the button (put in process) but this also make me helpless..

Is this the standard or any customizing is requried to do.

Dear Kapil,

I think you have missed out somewhere here:

1.Can you please check whether the Work approval is prepared.

2. WCA is also prepared and all the approvals are issued.

3. Both WAP and WCA traffic lights are green.

I hope you have configured the approvals , Hierarchy of approvals and cross document approval process.

Frankly i new to this process, Yes i think you are right but i did the same config which is mention in standard document

(U16 WCM Standard Model) and this document is apllicable to only Standard model not for Enhanced, but still in WCA as well as in WCD the Traffic light become only yellow not get converted in Green.

Dear Kapil,

I notice that you have created the WCD also. Then please do the following.

1. Prepare WAP ( you said you have already done )

2. Prepare WCA

3. If you have an approval in WCA for begin tagging issue that approval only( select the enitire line of that approval and select issue and save WCA)

4.Now you prepare WCD ( Ensure in maintenance screen of WCD you have cretaed the swiching points (isolation points)

5.Now go to switching screen of WCD and from theere select the switching points and press the tag button on top of the WCD

6.Then print tag button will appear and press that.

7.Once printed the tag , the Tagged button will appear and confirm it(press it) and save the WCD.At this point itself the Release for execution button will be active in order.But logically you should wit till the Permit is printed to do this.

8.Go to WCA and if any further approvals are there issue them also and save them also. Now only the WCA traafic lights will be green.From WCA you can print permit

9. Go to order and do the release for execution.Now WOCO tab will be active

10.Once the work is completed do the WOCO

11.Once the work is completed do WOCO

12.Now you can close WAP

13.Go to wcd switching screen , select switching points and press the tab untag and confirm untagged.

14.You can comple WCA and WCD also now.

Hope this will help you to complete the process. I have written the steps from my memory if anywhere you failed let me know.I will try to guide you further.

Thanks for making me able to execute this complete cycle. Now i am able to do the same what i was getting error in my last message but still little more details study is required regarding approvals.

Few Doubts shown below-:

1) Once we do WOCO then the system will close Work Approval as well as WCA at the same time.

2) In Valuation TAB in Maintenance Order why it is reflecting me 2 Application

WC Application BCONEPM 09.05.2011

Fire Protection Application BCONEPM 09.05.2011

Here In this I select only (WC App) line then hit (Yes ) button

3) In Work Approval why I am not able to issue both permit.

Permit Sht Txt CAT Approved By Entrd By

SICHERN Protect 1 BCONEPM BCONEPM

GESICHERT Protected 2 BCONEPM

Not able to approve the second permit

4) Same as above in WCA & WCD

Permit Sht Txt CAT Approved By Entrd By

SFS Tag 1 xxxxxxx BCONEPM

IFS Tagged 2 xxxxxxx BCONEPM

How to approve the both permit and why the system is not reflecting those permit which I have created as per standard Config Document as shown in my last messages.

Dear Kapil,

I could not understand what is the approvals you have maintained and what is the hierarchy of approvals. From what i assume I will answer you

You have to verify what is the cross application approvals and also the hierarchy of approvals.

Is there any approval created for fire protection? then that approval should be issued before taking the permit/ issuing the main permit approval.

Since you told you are using standard model you may not be using any additional application.

From your earlier message I understand you are referring to SAP best practices config guide(U16) there will be an associated business process procedure also. You once again verify the steps mentioned there and compare and find out what you miss.

Understand your approval hierarchy and cross application approvals.

Any approvals which is lower in the hierarchy should be done first to issue the higher level approval.

Hi,

If you have created the permit for activiating work clearance management in configuration path Work clearance management->Approval->activate work clearance management for maintenance orders , you can use that permit to activate WCM in orders .

IW32 -> go to ->permits

Also in any chance you have created a work approval from WCTA and now you want to assign it to an order that also possible.

Open work approval in change mode WCTB-> click on orders->assignment window will be opened-> select the order from multiple selection and assign it. OR you can usetransaction WCR8 to assign WAP to maintenance order.
