CRM Interactive Reporting - BI Client


I have doubt regarding CRM Interactive Reporting. While implementing the CRM Interactive Reports, SAP recommended to maintain a separate BI client.

My question is what is the need of a separate BI client in the same CRM system?

    Hi Ravi,

    the main reason is performance.

    having the BI client on same client as the CRM is going to decrease the operational speed of CRM.

    Take into account that Interactive Reporting is limited to the following data:

    You can only use the following standard delivered content for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Interactive Reporting:

    Header data in SAP CRM One Order model and campaigns for opportunities, activities, service tickets, leads, and campaigns (header e-mail campaign type only)

    Opportunities line item data: Product ID

    Service line item data:

    Dates for service level agreement (SLA) compliance

    Service agreements for SLA compliance

    Number of closed items

    Status information

    No additional CRM One Order or custom fields can be added to the reports.

    SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (SAP NetWeaver BI) InfoCubes are not supported as a source for reports. Scalability testing has only been completed for one concurrent user.
