Crystal Report Print Mode switch to pdf but still goes ActiveX

Hi All,

I am having a problem while printing the report from "Print this Report" tool option on Cystal Report Viewer with Internet Explorer (6.x and 8.x)

Since i dont want to allow ActiveX on the client side I would like to switch the print mode to pdf.

I activated this in the central management console in the preferences. In the column "Crystal reports" i switched from "ActiveX with one click" to "PDF".

I restarted the server after that just to make sure.

When i know open a report via the viewer it still wants to download the ActiveX Application and displays the printers afterwards. (Printing via ActiveX is not working to, because i get a communicaton error; but since I dont want to allow ActiveX it is no problem)

I read many threads regarding print issues but i did not find any hint why this parameter change does not take any effect.

Is there another way i can switch the print mode? Or do i have to configure something anywhere else?

Many thanks
