System ECC 6.0
I transported my LBWE setting for my Datasource in following order
1. extract structure
2. datasource
Transport returncodes were 0.
In the target system the extract structure changes have transported ok, but the datasource is unchanged.
I guess I could manually generate the datasource in the target system to fix the problem, but I have been told to find a transport solution to this problem.
Thanks in advance.
Gordon.
Hi,
Normally this should have worked, but you can try transporting them again and make sure that you have two requests one for the Customizing request and other for the workbench request containing the extract structure and data source respectively.

Thanks Arminder.
i transported in the following order:
1.extract structure 2,datasource.
i then tried
1.datasource 2.extract structure
neither method activated the datasource with the new fields .both methods had returncode 0 in the transport.
i have read that LBWE will not change the extract structure if you have records in RSA7 or in the set up
tables in the target system -could this be the reason ? i would have expected the transport to fail.
Hi Gordon,
You are right ...........
You need to clear the RSA7,Set up table and LBWQ before transporting the Data Source to QA or PRD.
Also in RSA6 the newly added fileds have to be marked as UNHIDE.
Pls follow the transport sequence of R3 and BW transport, there are lot of threads on that.

hi,
Find the data source in RSA5 in dev and there is an option for activate data source in the icon bar.
activate it and see that the changes are visible in the DS in tcode RSA6 (this is the tcode where you will see the active DS).
Transport it now, the changes should go to the next system. before transporting it to next system clear RSA7, LBWQ queues.
regards,
Arvind.

Did u save and activate the data source after changing the extract structure. You need to do that and capture the changes to the transport.
