Query on deleting personnel numbers and table names.

Hi ,

Can anyone help me with these questions?

why do some tables start with V_T and some with T?

and when I have given a wrong Personnel number to an employee how do I delete and recreate with the new number making sure that all the rest of the employee numbers remain the same?

Hi Summi,

When you go with SM30 and put the table directly starting with 'T' then whole table is directly viewed by Table views. But if the name start like 'V_T' or 'VV_T' then it is a specific field views created from the parent table, they will not contains all the fields of the parent table.

And if you have given a wrong Personnel Number to a person then just go to T-code PU00 and delete the person. And if you want to hire any other person on the same Personnel Number then go to actions PA40 and give the Personnel Number there and continue with the normal hiring process after that.

Firstly Delete the number useing PU00 tcode , later go to tcode PA04 there in current number keep the deleted number and try to hire

you will get the same number
