HI All,
I have a bunch of queries which have 2 quarters as columns which the user can enter.there is no offset involved.
The total amounts are being displayed for each of the 2 quarter selected. I need to calculate the difference in the 2 amounts for the quarters.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in Advance.
Ashish.
You can simply create a Formula in your structure by right clicking on the structure, then choose New Formula. Double click on your first column, then click on '-' then double click on second column.
That's all. If you need it more often, right click on the structure, then say Save... Your structure is saved and you can access it in any query of your InfoProv by dragging it from the left field (it's right on top).
Best regards
Dirk

Hi Ashish,
in this case I would recommend that you create 2 structures in your query. The first one hold your key figure and the second one holds some selections and formulas. One selection is the 1st quarter, another selection is the 2nd quarter (may be a offset of the first one) plus may be some other selections. One formula is selection1 - selection2 or vice versa plus some other formulas. This will work.

Hi Ashish,
I think, what you need is two restricted keyfigures (the amount restricted to the entered quarters) and then, additionally a calculated keyfigure out of your restricted keyfigures.
